Wildlife and nature photography
tours in Africa
Africa in Focus is a non-profit organisation that focuses on arranging nature photography tours in Africa. We scout potential destinations and make sure that all arrangements are made with local organisations such as lodges, rangers and drivers. Through careful preparation, we endeavour to create photography safaris that are a more complete experience than just a round trip through a reserve. Arrangements are thoroughly discussed with our partner Nature Talks, who will also guide you through the remaining part of your booking. Besides photograph journeys, Nature Talks also offers workshops and an annual nature photography festival.
Photography is the main activity and purpose of our trip, but integral to it, we want our guests to become more aware of the significant labour required to maintain the natural environment and many animals threatened with extinction.
Therefore, a number of our destinations are reserves or National Parks which are managed by African Parks. Through our trips we support the activities of African Parks to protect Africa’s nature. African Parks is a non-profit organisation which runs 16 national parks in 10 different countries.
Besides our destinations from African Parks, Africa in Focus also offers other photography tours to support other local charities.
Quality and personal attention
We stand for quality and personal attention. The tours are suitable for everyone that loves photographing nature and wildlife and wants to experience this in the beautiful light conditions of the African reserves. The tour will be guided by professional photographers that cannot wait to share their knowledge and experience with you. The groups are made up of a maximum of 6 – 8 participants and 2 supervisors to provide our guests with the maximum personal attention. Our destinations are unique and less known by the larger audience. Therefore, the nature and wildlife will be experienced in an optimal way. There are no other jeeps around and you will always be able to make the best photo from the right angle.
There will be more information about the work that is needed to protect the animals and nature during our stay in one of the African Parks destinations. This information will be covered in a presentation held by one of African parks employees, this could be a ranger or even the park manager. This is a great opportunity to hear the insights of the beautiful work they have been doing over the years. More information is given during our game-drives and foot-safari about animals, vegetation and the ecosystem.
